In French, to say, sorry, you say, désolé.
“I feel so badly about what just happened that I am bereft of company” seems a little extreme, though.

So, maybe June isn’t the time for posting things. One day, though, I may require your address. Let’s just say I’ve started composing things. Soon we shall cross paths again?
